Blogger’s Block

I have a serious case of Blogger’s Block. Nothing interesting to write about, nothing that seems share worthy.

Bullets are easier:

Seen on a Friday

There is this woman who walks her dog, day after day, week after week, and now entering into the fifth year. The dog is part chow – color is the same, tongue is black, but the face, tail, and ears are a bit different. Each year this woman looks more and more like her dog; her stance, her expression and now her hair. Yes, she has died her hair to match her dog. It’s a beautiful thing.

I go to Weight Watchers. I’m cool with it. I’m losing weight, and that’s all that matters. I’ve been to day meetings twice. Both times there has been a car parked off to the side of the building. A cop car. I think he digs fat women, and is beating off as we walk in and out of the facility. It’s a beautiful thing…for him.

There are two single girls that live in my neighborhood. My husband calls them the ugly girls. They have super cute figures, but my husband claims they have faces that could turn you to stone. And so, this morning I’m taking the trash out, and a large, white SUV pulls into the street, pulls into a parking space and backs out. The passenger door opens and the uglier of the ugly girls jumps out. Seriously, the guy did a total drop and run. Of course the girl is dressed in a total “out for the night” outfit, and looking about as hungover as you can get. I call my husband, and tell him the story and he made the typical comment about how things look different when you’re not smashed. It’s a beautiful thing…to share.

Today’s Ramblings

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

On the way to a meeting today I stopped to buy gas. I was trying to pull into the island I always do, but this car had pulled in between the two islands, and I couldn’t fit on either side. A woman had parked dead smack in the middle of the lane, and had the gas thingy stretched as far as it could go. I pulled into the next lane, because I really wanted to see what type of person would drive in this manner. I’ll tell you what kind of person. The kind that puts plastic bags over both headrests to protect them from the hair products they wear. And in the back seat was her Grandson, dressed in a little plaid outfit and holding a red balloon. The balloon was wearing the matching hat to the plaid outfit.

So, I’m at my meeting. And all I could stare at was the big slob that’s going to be the project manager on this project. It’s not that he was fat that bothers me. It’s that he had a lazy posture, and was a total slob. But what I couldn’t stop staring at was the wrinkles in the back of his head. He had his head shaved, so the wrinkles were easily visible. Four freakin’ rolls. I kid you not. I’m not sure if it was the lack of a neck that caused the wrinkles or just a generally fat head. Seriously, how does one gain weight in their head?

Meeting is over, and I decide to take a leisurely stroll around the ODU campus, with the hope of catching something really interesting. I walked past a red car with dark tint on the windows. In large white letters ,that filled the back windshield, the following was written: “Reality Is Found Only In Christ”, and the license plate read REALNJC. I’m not sure why this struck me. It did.

As I’m heading back to the office I catch a woman crossing the street in front of Nauticus. A large woman wearing hot pink shorts and a aqua colored tank top….Note to self: Bright colors make you look big. REALLY big. And ugly hair on top of the bright body make you look like a scary cartoon character.

And for those who care…Adam fractured his back again, Cristin’s car broke down, and I just made Ethan a chocolate milkshake (which I didn’t eve taste).

10 Years ago: I had just broken up with the biggest loser of my life, looked great, and was having an incredible single girl life.

5 years ago: Living with my husband, and enjoying being a couple.

1 year ago: Just finishing up major cancer treatment and given a clean bill

Yesterday: Sat at the pool, went out for dinner, made a Target run, and visited my parents.

Today: Working, but not happily. In a bad mood because of several work circumstances. Went for a walk with Ethan. And now I’m doing this.

Tomorrow: Working, but have meetings outside the office. Yippee. I don’t have to look at the losers. Going to the pool, and then taking a walk with Ethan.

5 snacks I enjoy: Chips, peach pie (cold with cool whip), ICE CREAM – REALLY GOOD ICE CREAM , Cheese and crackers, nachos

5 reality shows I watch: I love reality shows. They make me laugh harder than any comedy show.

5 TV shows I watch daily: News at 6, news at 6:30, 10:00 news, 11:00 news, Pimp my Ride or some other MTV crap

5 things I would never wear: lingerie tops, a thong on the beach, capri pants with high heels, jeans with dress shoes, shirts with stupid sayings on them

5 things I like doing: container gardening, hanging at the pool or beach, reading (rarely happens), a cocktail night with friends (again, rarely happens anymore) and hanging at home on a rainy day

5 Things I would do with 100 million bucks: What wouldn’t I do? I’d buy an incredible yacht an then I’d travel. I’d donate something to several favorite charities, and I’d open a small working art gallery.

5 locations I would run away to: Beach house on a secluded island, a cabin on a mountain,

5 recently seen movies:Madagascar, Sharkboy and Lavagirl

5 famous people I’d like to meet: Jon Stewart, Andy Milakonis, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Ellen

5 biggest joys at the moment:
my family, my friends, my flowers, summer weather, the sex and the city rerun I’m watching right now

Fun, fun. Parents everywhere should read this site.
Usually I know all the slang, but as I get older, and spend less time hanging around “kids”, the more I need a site to research the new lingo.

From the “jobless one”:

dank
sticky, hairy, stinky, and highly potent marijuana.
I took two hits of that dank and was nearly transcendent.

Now the lack of a job makes a little more sense.
