Congress convened today with Democrats in control of both the House and Sentate for the first time in a dozen years.

1. Bring our troops home. Now. Write letters to the editor of my newspaper, letters to local and national level politicians. Don’t stop writing until they are home.
2. Impeach President Bush. I’m thinking there are enough people out there who agree with this thought process that it could actually happen.
3. Ensure George Bush does not send another 20,000 troops to Iraq. Start helping people look at the 20,000 as people and not numbers.
4. Never avoid political conversation. (Okay, I never have) Initiate positive political conversation.
5. Read more political blogs. (Democrat only)
6. Add a political thought at the end of each of my blog entries.
7. Continue to annoy my Republican brother with e-mails, phone calls and gifts that demonstrate my support of the Democratic party.
