Last night I sent Adam and Ethan to Target to pick up some candy for Ethan’s class. I also asked them to get a card for Ethan’s first grade teacher. Let me repeat that. First grade teacher. This is the card they came home with. The inside of the card is equally lovely. It says:
Happy Valentine’s Day!
(You better watch your butt!)
What in the hell was he thinking? I truly thought he was joking when he said “there weren’t any cards left specifically for teachers” and handed me this creation. I immediately asked “where’s the real card?” and when he insisted that was it, I started searching through the bags.
Needless to say, we had to put something else together. I have definitely learned my lesson on this one. My husband has no clue as to what’s appropriate for a first grader to give to his teacher.

What Dena Means
You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.
You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.
People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are usually the best at everything … you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic “Type A” personality.
What is your name’s secret meaning?
Those of you who know me definitely know what fits and what doesn’t. I’d say this one is about 50% right.

Because this is such a fun little site, and also because it’s just a little bitty baby and just turned a week old, I decided to share it with you today.
This is a perfect site for me. I love news. I love current events. I love gambling.
Hubdub is a news forecaster site. You gamble on the outcome of a particular news event, and win hubdub dollars. When you join in on the news forecasting fun, you are given $1000 in hubdub dollars. Once you’ve got your money, the fun starts and you begin wagering your money on different topics. You can choose your topics by browsing through a variety of categories including entertainment, politics, business, or technology.
I joined the other day, and am already down $40.00 after betting on three events. One has yet to be determined, but I’ll know that outcome by late tonight.
Sounds fun, doesn’t it? Go ahead and join. And if you want to invent the questions, well, you can do that, too.
