A  lot!  And that’s how much money the stock market lost yesterday.  A trillion freakin’ dollars!  I can’t even comprehend it. It’s tragic, and for once in my life I feel a little sorry for Bush.  His own party turned against him. 

I don’t know the answer.  Hell, I don’t even understand the problem.  All I know is that my US dollar isn’t worth shit, people are losing their homes and their jobs and no one can drop the blame game or party talk and just figure out a way to solve this crisis. 

That’s why you politicians were elected into office, to work together as a group.  We are the United States of America.  Key word being UNITED.  Can we just work together and save “every man.”  You politicians do remember “every man” don’t you?  That’s the guy standing at the gas pump putting gas into his car and wondering if he should fill up or hold out and see if the price goes down twenty cents tomorrow.  It’s the woman at the grocery store trying to figure out if she can really feed her family Kraft Macaroni and Cheese more than four nights a week, even though she’s put the Kraft back on the shelf and pulled off the generic brand.   It’s the  people who voted you into office and expect you to provide them with the best representation possible. 

Now it’s the job of the politicians to take this moment seriously, to forget about the upcoming election for a moment and to commit to something.  ANYTHING!  Just get us out of this mess already.  Work together and figure it out.  That’s what WE’RE paying your political grandstanding asses to do.  Take the blame or place the blame later, but stand up and face this crisis like a woman.  Act now, and do what’s best for the majority of the people.

Really, I do.  I’ve been so slack with visiting and commenting on my favorite blogs, and have been negligent of my own blog, as well.  It’s hard to nail down a reason, but I can blame it on the summer and the sun.  Cold weather is creeping up on me, and I think I’ll get back into the swing of things, but in the meantime it’ll be baby steps.  Short little daily posts to ensure that I get myself up to par.

Maybe I should try the 365 day thing? You know what?  I think I will.

Could you really be comfortable with THIS running the country?  Think about it…the possibility that she’d have to take over if McCain is ignorantly elected isn’t that slim.

Everyone in the house is asleep.  I’m waiting until it’s time to go camping.  While searching the net to read up on Virginia Beach’s haunted spots to find info for tonight’s scary stories, I ended up looking around youtube, which led to this version of my favorite song, done by some of my favorite artists as well as the song’s writer.

Before you bitch and moan about all the Hollywood support Obama’s getting, step back and review all the greedy corporate execs who are supporting McCain, particularly big oil!

Ethan started second grade today, and I could almost cry. He looks happy as hell, but to me it means he (me!)  is getting older, summer is pretty much over and it will be almost 9 months before the pool opens again! I think I want to cry.
